Ken Shackelford, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC
Ken is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with the American Nurses Association
Born and raised in Northern California, Ken moved to Missouri to attend Goldfarb School of Nursing and achieve his Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After completing his BSN, Ken worked as a registered nurse in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings, where he gained invaluable experience and insights into the challenges faced by patients suffering from chronic pain. Motivated to make a more significant impact, he pursued higher education, earning a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
After completing his doctoral studies, Ken has embarked on a career as an interventional pain management nurse practitioner. He firmly believes in empowering his patients to actively participate in their treatment journey, ensuring they have a voice in decisions regarding their care. With this, Ken’s emphasis on providing thorough patient education stems from a belief that a better understanding of their condition and individualized treatment options helps foster patient autonomy and improve treatment outcomes.
Ken is a member of the American Society of Pain Management Nurses and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
With a passion for delivering collaborative and evidence-based care and a relentless pursuit of knowledge, Ken hopes to become a trusted expert in interventional pain medicine.
